LEED® Modelling

We employ high-efficiency water conservation principles in every irrigation system design. In fact, our design philosophy has not changed since the advent of the LEED® program. However, the LEED®-NC Rating System has validated our proven results on over 50 registered or candidate projects.


Unfortunately, too few Facility or Parks Managers know the cost (historical or predicted) of their irrigation water. ion creates for every project an Irrigation Water Model estimating the seasonal water requirements for every month of the season plus the operating cost of irrigation water, sanitary surcharges and service charges.


The IWM is the tool from which all subsequent design decisions are made and easily converts to the required LEED documentation.


The performance characteristics of different sprinkler makes and models can vary dramatically. ion has the industry-specific software to model the specific sprinkler efficiency. Technical advancements in nozzles and pressure management provide sprinkler efficiencies that now closely rival drip/micro-irrigation.
