Rainwater Harvesting

One of the most frequent inquiries our office receives is, “What size do I need to make my tank?”

We avoid the common mistake of making the storage too big, which may be too costly or may not be possible to ever fill with normal precipitation. The risk of low or no precipitation is minimal as we understand the plant water needs and our IWM’s are based on mature size plant material. A life-cycle cost analysis predicts the return on investment.

In Alberta with relatively high water rates, the life cycle cost savings can amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars and the simple payback can be as little as 3 to 5 years.
