    Calgary, AB 2005 - 2008

    Project Overview:

    Calgary Water Centre is the new home for The City of Calgary Water Resources business unit. The building is an architectural award winner and an anchor for the Manchester Yards redevelopment area overlooking the Elbow River and Stampede Park. Calgary Water Centre is a LEED®-NC Platinum-level candidate project.

  • South Health Campus

    Calgary, AB 2008 - 2012

    Project Overview:

    ion modelled the irrigation requirements for the 2 hectares of site landscaping plus 2 hectares of potential green roofs. The 30-year life cycle cost savings presented by rainwater harvesting for irrigation was estimated as $1,500,000 dollars. Irrigation on the Main Campus and adjacent East Site support building will be managed by an onsite weather station and satellite controllers communicating on the Campus LAN.

  • CrossIron Mills Shopping Centre

    Balzac, AB 2006 - 2009

    Project Overview:

    CrossIron Mills Shopping Centre is the first development to be constructed within the ‘East Balzac Retail & Racing Entertainment Centre’. No potable water is permitted for outdoor watering in the rural jurisdiction due to infrastructure constraints.

  • Robbins HCLC MacEwan College City Centre Campus

    Edmonton, AB 2005 – 2006

    Project Overview:

    The Robbins Health Care Learning Centre is the second LEED®-NC building with an irrigation system designed by ion for MacEwan College. ion worked in a multidisciplinary P3 team to design, administer construction and attain coveted water efficiency credits required for the building rating application.
